Fresh off his controversial decision to cover the BNZ logos on his jersey, Sonny-Bill has taken things a step further this week. The superstar player has decided to cover the Blues logo on his jersey for the rest of the season.
Williams told Thai Castle, “I have decided to cover the Blues logo this season as I don’t want anyone to know I play for the Blues. I think this decision will make it very clear that I don’t play for them. If anyone was to find out it would be rather embarrassing for me and my career”.
Williams will also wear a balaclava during games to keep his identity secret and has asked that his teammates and commentators refer to him as “Gangster Playah X” while he plays on the field.
Blues Coach, Tana Umaga, completely agreed with Williams’ stance saying “I see where he is coming from. It is a tough spot for people to know he is a Blues player. It is a very smart decision from Sonny-Bill. Sorry, I mean Gangsta Playah X”
