The Mad Butcher, AKA Sir Peter Leitch, is in a world of trouble with his beloved Vodafone Warriors after it was revealed he had racially abused a young woman on Waiheke Island.
Warriors management have acted swiftly, tearing down Mad Butcher signage and barring him from entering the team’s training facility. The team itself are reported to be furious, issuing a threat based on a recent NRL-based social media craze. ‘Yeah we gonna make him do the #RunItStraightChallenge in the carpark, it should be fun’ said team stalwart Manu Vatuvei.
Early indications are that the entire squad is assembling for the occasion, with several Australian-based players cutting short their off-season to return especially. ‘Hopefully it’ll teach him a lesson, but honestly we’ve all wanted to do this to his annoying ass anyway. The All Blacks had to put up with John Key, but they only play half the games we do. That’s nothing compared to having this fuckin’ crazy old man hanging around trying to be friends with us.’ Vatuvei added.
Meanwhile, Leitch is busy trying to deny he meant any wrongdoing and that he isn’t a racist, just yet another misunderstood middle-aged Pakeha male.
